There is a large variety of religion and mythology, but a large part of the Egyptian myths was that of Heliopolitan myth, which included the Osirianic legend of Osiris, Isis, Horus and Seth. The Heliopolitan mythology is more accessible, so I have a large amount of time on them.

Even in the Upper Egyptian capital, Thebes, during the Middle and New kingdoms there were more materials on the sun-god, Re, Osiris and Horus than there are on the Theban pantheon, because the Heliopolitan myths were more pervasive.

The three links in the Osirianic legend, should be read in that order that I had list them above. They are related to Osiris' murder, birth of Horus and the final confrontation between Horus and Seth.



Independent Myth:

There are some other myths, in which Osiris play no part, and they are different in many ways. So the following stories are considered to be independent myths, which can sit on their own.
